Preferred Programming Languages

There are more than 600 programming languages and perhaps even more frameworks. No development team specialize in all programming languages. If they say they do, then they have allowed themselves to become a jack of all trades and masters of none. That approach serves to dilute their focus and generate inefficiencies. Many languages are related to niche markets. Others are proprietary. Many programming languages were created because of the inadequacies inherent to other inferior languages. Still others have so few developers that are experts, the cost for those programmers is not practical.

TQI's software development teams have focused strongly on languages which represent the greatest flexibility, the most stability and the widest and deepest use cases for business and web applications. Some of the languages we are dedicated to also make great business sense due to the economics associated with open source licensing. This doesn't mean we only use open source, however, we are confident in what it can deliver. All programming languages we use to create solutions are standardized, proven, secure and considered by millions of business and technology authorities to be beyond reproach. Any qualified, experienced programmer has the ability to pick up our code and program using it. You simply cannot say the same thing for many programming languages.

TQI's programming team specializes in languages which do not require the code to be compiled. The added work and time needed for compilation slows down team work and deliverables. We've found languages like Java and Perl rarely offer any benefits that are worth the added steps of compilation and time. Our specialties include:

  • Drupal
  • PHP
  • AJAX
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • MySQL
  • SQL
  • Oracle
